M77 Hawkeye Long Action

Does the M77 Hawkeye long action fit into a Ruger Zytel (Boat Paddle) stock, if it’s inlet for a m77 mk II long action. In other words are they interchangeable?

I bought a boat paddle stock that is inlet for a long action mk II. About to pull the trigger on a m77 Hawkeye .338 win mag.

Called Ruger and their answer was, “it should”. Hope so lol.

Good luck, hopefully it fits but for me it did not. I have a M77 Mark 2 in 7RM with the Zytel stock and then I bought a Hawkeye .338WM and the Hawkeye action fit but the magnum barrel contour was wayyy thicker than the slender 7RM one so it uptimately did not fit in the Zytel stock. I sold the Hawkeye, kept the laminate stock and goass bedded the 7RM into it and now just have the Zytel collecting dust. Got a Model 70 EW in .338WM to replace the Hawkeye and like it more, but the heavy ass Hawkeye was a lottt more fun to shoot…. How did it work out for you, OP?
