LS Wild Suppressor Covers

So with the cover on as far as it will go, it’s’ normal for their to be about 1/2” of extra length at the front? Doesn’t seem right to me.

No, that is not right. This is “right”.

Just using the stitches as a reference, yours appears to have about 1/2 the amount of extra length at the back as mine does when it’s flush with the front of the can. Also, if I can push it that far on, this just means that it will be able to slide that far under recoil. Seems like this one is about 1/2” too long.

I want to like these covers, but this is the second one I’ve ordered from this guy that hasn’t fit properly.

It doesn’t slide forward. At least none of mine ever have. The downside of the LS Wild covers is that they turn into sponges in the rain, but they don’t slide around.

I see what you mean. Not sure it will make a real difference, but I understand your frustration.
No big deal, I agree that it shouldn’t matter as long as it doesn’t slide forward under recoil, but I’ve learned the hard way that if suppressors covers can move forward, they will….

I’ll email him and see what he says, seems like maybe he cut this one for the ZG7 instead of the 6.5. Thanks.

Send it back,I agree it is not supposed to fit like a universal cover.
A lot of stuff don’t matter for use but if that was the case you dont even need it.
You wanted it so it matters just as much as someone cerakoting there rifle a certain color.

I ordered one a year ago and they didn't come an inch extra long for my TBAC, but the pair of them I just got were at least a inch extra and I guess that is by design now. If I knew that ahead of time, I would have just ordered them an inch shorter.

Do you think he’s making them longer to help mitigate heat emitting off the back of the can?

Mine for a OG 65 slides forward all the time in fact it came off my can completely one time. It was not on backwards either. The muzzle end is fraying from the muzzle blast that removed it entirely. The only solution I can think of is to run some more stitches into the back to tighten it up.

I’m sure LS Wild will take care of you with a replacement if you let them know.

The cover sure shouldn’t slide forward of the muzzle.

It’s disappointing to hear these reports. I am not discounting them, but they don’t match the hitherto satisfactory performance and quality I have seen. I hope it doesn’t become a trend.
