I just received a pair of Tibets and they are a Lil tight across the front of my foot....will they stretch any with the rubber rand around them while breaking them in? Unfortunately there are no stores around here to go and try on these in different sizes. So either I send them back and try a next size up or see if they stretch out a bit while walking around the house.

Thanks

If you're talking about length, then no they will not stretch to become longer. If you're talking about tightness around your foot, then yes they will loosen up some as you break them in. You may also be able to get a lower volume insole which would give you more wiggle room.

sorry...width wise is what i was talking about. Thanks!

Depending on HOW tight they are I'd say that is subjective - I can't say I've sensed any of my 3 pairs stretching much, I think that's one reason they produce them in wides - the toe box is the last place I'd want a "snug" fit

Send them back,, been down this road too may times. Save yourself the pain and money and send them back and go up a size.

I have run these for years and they stretch very little and if you are like me, after a hard day of hiking your feet will swell a bit and then they will blister you good. Better to upsize and adjust volume with insoles.

I actually ordered the wides....the toe box is nice and roomy and they fit length wise. They dont squeeze my toes it's right behind my little toe and at the beginning of my arch. And it's not tight but a little snug. Most boots I wear are the same but I've never had a pair with the rubber rand all the way around. So that was my main concern is will the rand allow the boot to loosen up a bit and stretch. If so they should be good. This is my first pair of Lowa so just never had any experience personally.

If something feels off now, before your even on the mountain, in my experience it only gets worse. They don't stretch much, they just become more flexible. I would try more boots on or order online. Keep the best and return the best. Costly, but far less than owning a boot that doesn't fit your foot on the trail. Getting a boot that fits your foot is a total pain.

That's the truth!

I tried the Tibets for about 6 months before selling them. I have narrow feet, but my problem was the vertical depth of the toe box. Just too tight on top of my feet no matter how I laced them.
