So I finally got to try on many different boots and styles. For my feet the Lowa Tibets were the most comfortable. I tried on Salewas and Scarpas as well. Didnt get to try Crispi but not really feeling like I missed out either. This will be my very first pair of boots for hunting that are anywhere near this expensive. Any advice on breaking them in or any special care I should take to keep them conditioned?

I religiously wash and condition mine with revivex leather boot care kit. Going on my 4th year of hard use and still going strong. One thing I had to do last year was put freesole glue on the top lip of the rand after it started to separate a little.

Breaking them in just sucks.

I treated mine with Obenhaufs wax before I ever used them. Mine really didn't require much break in for me. I just walked in them like regular footwear for a few weeks occasionally, and they were good. I have had mine through 4 seasons and still doing great. I will re treat mine before and usually after each hunting season.

get the exterior leather good and wet while on a hike to break them in and they will find their natural fit to your foot faster.
