Low gaiters

I use the OR Flextech II gaiters for dry conditions. Mainly to keep debris out of my boots and bottom of my pants dry from small creek crossing and mourning dew. They have worked well for me.

Depends on how short. REI makes a shorter one that can be pushed down. Kuiu and Outdoor Research make about 8” ones that work well. First Lite does also, but I shredded those on the first trip I used them on.

Ping me if you are interested in some. I bought extra for CC skiing and my wife bought high boots and does not use them. Thanks

I’ve tried a few and the best are OR original flex Tex but they ruined the design with the flex Tex II. First lite can’t even make it around my bare leg and not feel like they are cutting off circulation. As far as I know first lite still claims there isn’t an issue with sizing so I would avoid those. I am currently using the kuiu screw which is really similar to the flex Tex original and works great. Original Sitka flash was not user friendly because they were a tube without a split. Have not tried the new low Sitka.

I'm going to assume you meant "Scree" but any time Kuiu is mentioned I hate to assume anything.

I run the FL Traverse gaiter, most of the time and love them. I have a pair of outdoor research crocodile ones that I wear if I'm hunting in snow deeper than a few inches.

They are called 'putees'

There is literally THOUSANDS of brands making these haha, just not in America it seems.
Most ones here are 8 or 12oz canvas, cheap, tough as shit. Great for stopping rocks/dirt/grass seed etc in your boots, especially wearing shorts.

Puttees Canvas

Here is 4 random kiwi brands that all make them, generally they are all much the same to be honest. Hard to mess up a canvas puttee

The Swazi brand 'Aligaiters' are a little bit longer than 'puttees' but shorter than normal gaiters. Fairly light, but not water proof and sweaty. I dont like em much.

A set of $30-40(NZD thats is!) Canvas puttees will outlive all the options mentioned above.
