Ankle problems, looking for stiffer boots for everyday wear

After wearing these barefoot shoes for a few days, I have some observations that I didn't think about before I bought them. It seems like since you get more feedback to the terrain you are stepping on that your mind subconsciously positions your ankles where they need to be to keep them from rolling. This is something my kenetreks didn't provide since I couldn't feel the ground under me. I also noticed that it feels like I have done leg day the last few days due to all the new muscles being used after years of stiff footwear. These are less "comfortable" in the sole area since there really is minimal padding. I'm sure that is something I will get used to though as I wear them more. So far so good though. My foot/ankle injury is starting to slowly feel a little better as well. I'm can't prove that is the shoes causing that or just that I've had this injury since my son's hunt in october and it is finally starting to heal.
