Lost Tag and License ??

Has anyone ever had to go through the lost tag and license process with Colorado? My license and tag never got here so I had to mail in to get a new one. Not really thrilled to be dealing with this so close to the hunt.

I have not. I got my archery Elk tag last week, which was much later than my rifle deer tag and my wife's rifle elk tag. This year has been different with CPW. Stuff happens!

I went through it last year on an etc elk tag that never arrived. I was told I could have it reprinted at "any" license outlet. It was a complete pain in the ass. I ended up losing a day of hunting and had to go to a Parks and Wildlife office on Monday and get a new one. This year I paid the extra $20 to have it sent next day. I wasted more than that in fuel last year trying to get a reprint. Good luck

I've lost fishing licenses and it's only a $5 reprint fee, I don't know why it wouldn't be like that? Maybe they think guys will print duplicate and use the duplicate and the original for two separate animals and there isn't a good way for the wardens to check against that in the field or something?

It's pretty easy. You sign an affidavit stating you lost it or never got it, and they reprint another one.

I'm hoping its this easy, I signed and returned the affidavit Monday. Hopefully they don't lose two in a row

My daughter threw mine out a few years ago while "cleaning". She was 6, so it was hard to get mad. I filed a lost tag online and had to pay like 25 bucks to replace, but I got the tag with time to spare.
