Some how, my 10x32 el’s fell out of my kuiu harness today. Pretty sure I left the top open and stumbled somewhere and somehow didn’t notice binoculars bouncing past my feet.

Anyway, I now wear glasses, and glass with my F’ing glasses on.

Questions-
What’s a brand/model of binos that work well with glasses and what’s a brand/model that works well with glasses and are swaro clear but not quite as pricey?
I’d probably move to 10x42’s for better FOV but sure like the compact size of the 10x32

Thanks, still pissed.

“swaro clear but not quite as pricey?“

Huh?

Sorry about your binoculars, I used to wear eye glasses until lasik. I hated glassing with glasses on no matter what binocular I tried. I ended up taking the eye glasses off to use the binocular. Pain in the butt but better than getting little smudge marks on the lenses.

Damn, that blows. There are some Zeiss conquests the the classifieds

Sorry for your loss - I don't know the circumstances, but I'd be spending a bunch of time retracing my steps. And, to answer your question, I have a friend who swears by Kowa Genesis binoculars. Doug at Camera Land NY is your friend. Sorry, I forgot to mention that he wears glasses.

Kowa glass is really good, will feel pretty similar to your ELs in most conditions. However nothing touches NL Pures IME. Sometimes you get what you pay for

Obviously the longer the eye relief the better. I buy special hunting glasses (flex-titanium) and run them closer to my eye and use SLC HD with no issues.

I don't recommend a claim to your home owners, condo or renters insurance policy.

For what I paid for my Swarovskis I'd probably be retracing every step I took for the last year until I found them. I haven't found any glass to be anywhere near as good.

Looks Ike every one is questioning you on losing your binos and not answering your questions on glass. This past season when Euro Optic ran some big discounts I picked up a pair of the Meopta Meostar B 1 8 x32. Think they were 50% off at $999. I had ten day mule deer hunt and I used my swaro 10X42 el and my wife used her Meoptas which we both felt were just as good . We spent 80 hours each glassing on that trip so lots of opportunities for comparison vs sitting in a retail store glassing.

If I were in your shoes today, I'd go find a pair of GPO Passion ED 10x42s to look through. They're the closest I've found to the Swaro experience without the Swaro price, and the eye relief is genuinely glasses-friendly. If you can swing a little more, the Maven B.3 is a step up in build quality and glass, but you're pushing toward $1,000. And if you want to save some money and still get European glass, Meopta is the value king.

Probably overkill but I always turn on OnX and leave the track mode on. I’ve gone back a few times and have found things I’ve lost.
I remember a thread awhile ago where a few guys were thinking it was crazy to do this, but I have had this same type of situation happen and my OnX was what saved me.

Releases, knives, walking sticks, jackets. By looking at the track you can almost always see right where you probably lost it.

If someone has the right settings on their phone, your Google tracking is accessible I think through Gmail. May help if there was reception at the time.
