Lost CO Tag

Seem to have misplaced or lost my Elk tag for first rifle. Not finding a lot of info on what to do, so any advice/info would be greatly appreciated. Not sure if I need to stop by an office one day this week or if ill have to try to go through the mail and hope that it gets here in time.

If you're a resident, I'd just stop by the nearest field office.

Been there, done that. Field office took care of me for a small re-issue fee.

You can get any tag reprinted at any location that sells tags. Will cost you $5 or something like that.

There was a new rule introduced this year that states that If you lose your tag you have to stay at home.

Call Colorado Parks and Wildlife, they are extremely helpful. The advice above is all good and correct as well.

Did this last year. Went to a field office. Had to fill out an affidavit stating it was lost and pay a reprint fee. They just want to make sure you’re not carrying around 2 tags and filling both of them.
