In that case I would look hard at Trijicon. They have been more reliable for me.
They also weigh a shit ton vs the Leupold. They are not really comparable.
I just bought a Trijicon Huron 4-16 x 50 and already have the Leupold @Gobihawk asked about.
The Leupold is light and has a great eye box. The reticle is good. I find it very easy to get on target and like the CDS system. It is about to get moved to my 6ARC Howa Mini. The current scope on that rifle is heavy and makes the rifle feel unbalanced.
The Huron would not work on that compact rifle because it is significantly bigger and heavier than the Leupold despite their similar magnification ranges.
For the type of hunting I do with that rifle (6-10 mile round trip hikes from the truck), the Leupold is going to be perfect.
The Huron is going on a rifle which is already heavy.
