Looking for Tikka stock with long/tall grip surface.

I am looking for aftermarket Tikka stocks with Vertical grip, and the most important thing now is grip length!

My current A-3 is approx 63mm or 2.5’’… and I just find it to short. My pinky, with gloves have no room.

Do you have any suggestions?

krg bravo and they are also coming out with the echo stock which will use tikka mags and accommodate long action calibers

Anybody care to measure the KRG Bravo grip length/height?

How is the quality of this chassis? I am used to McMillans at this point. I know alot of people here like them … but they cost $780 where I live. So a bit costly to just try…

A fully adjustable McMillan A series is around $1400.


Our currency has really fallen compared to US Dollar last two years… jeeeez!

Ruger American and not a Tikka. But I would assume the grip lengths would be very close between the two.
Right at 70mm. Gains you a little.

The Stocky’s VG hunter is 2 7/8”. Have you considered adding some material to the grip? I used Free Form Air epoxy putty to reshape the grip on mine. It’s amazingly tough stuff and didn’t add significant weight to the stock.

Why does your pinky need to be around it? You must have some serious meat hooks. Tikka bravo is about 2.75".



Agree with @ElPollo on modifying the grip being likely the easiest/cheapest solution. I've used thermo moldable plastic beads in the past to modify grips.

Yeah, I belive I have larger hands..

Two where trigger finger is loose and behind trigger, and Pinkyfinger outside stock grip.

Two where all fingers are on stock, which results in my triggerfinger beeing squeezed out out of stock.

Compared to a photo of a M40A5, A-4 stock which I belive have the longest A style grip at 75mm or 3’’. But said individual might have small hands as well.

Modifying stock grip

I searched through the forums and found a several folks modifying their stocks and grip angles. I am curious if there’s an easy-ish way to give the rem 700 grip less trigger reach and a more vertical grip without totally hacking it up? Pictured is Rem 700 adl mountain rifle in an old KS stock...
