Looking for some advice on Rifle Scopes and Suppressors.

I wonder how many people on here saying the 7 PRC has too much recoil actually own a 7 PRC or have shot one extensively. I have a 7 PRC with an 18” barrel topped with an APA Lil Bastard brake. Definitely not too much recoil…unless you’re a 6mm or 6.5mm fanboy perhaps.

I appreciate all of the feedback. I am new to long range shooting. I'm a bigger guy, so recoil doesn't bother me as much as it bothers others, I understand developing good techniques, and practice and being comfortable with your rifle is the most important thing.

My main goal is to use the 6.5 for deer in Minnesota, Montana and the Dakotas at reasonable ranges with the Leupold VX-5HD 3-15. As for the 7prc, I'm hoping to make that my Elk rifle and long range rifle as my skills develop. Maybe I am way off with my rifle line-up, maybe I'm getting close.

Haha not at all what I meant! That was the reason for getting the Sig Cross in 6.5. I wanted to get something with less recoil, and that had an adjustable stock, so that when my daughters get older it can be a rifle that will grow with them.

As a father and uncle who has trained nine kids to shoot, your daughters probably would prefer .223 (if legal in your state) or 6 ARC for their first - and last - deer rifle.

If it doesn’t have much recoil why did you have to install a massive gamer brake?
