East side over near lapeer as well. Been hunting with a trad bow for the last year and trying to do as much fly fishing as I can in the off season.

231 499 4579, full on shed/hiking season up here! throw in some steelhead and shooting the guns out to 500 every other weekend.

Montana in May, Colorado in October, Drummond in November and a few rut hunts mixed in.

bears with hounds, lots of small game, ducks and geese every change I get.

I put in for Nebraska deer. It's not the mountains but pretty remote. I plan on hunting public land as most of the private is leased out to outfitters and private hunters. If I don't draw I plan on seeing what Colorado has for leftover tags.

I bought a preference point for Colorado as well. Sister in law’s boyfriend is an elk hunter and plans on it. We’re looking at 2026 though because my son is due later this month.

Always up for meeting some guys for this season for deer though. Gotta be smart this October, I likely won’t have as much time out with the newborn at home.

I drew elk and mule deer tags in CO this year. I’ve been trying to go and researching for five years and finally made it happen this year. Hoping to make a this an annual excursion out west so might be heading back in ‘26 as well. Congrats on the baby boy! Yea a whitetail meet up would be great.

Would you be willing to fill me in on the process (high overview) of working towards drawing tags, making the trip out, and follow up with how it all went for you? As a Michigan resident starting that journey now, I am very interested.
