Yeah, that's one of the options. Those are what's sewn into my REI Half Dome I believe. Problem is that you'd have to sew those in somehow or figure out some other way to attach them.

Sea to summit makes some of the 1.8mm reflective cord also

I swapped out the standard Hilleberg cord for 1.8mm Shine Line. Haven't had it in the mountains yet, but the line seems bomber...and crazy reflective.

If you use clamcleats get the glow in the dark, they're pretty trick

2mm or 3mm dyneema with clam cleats(line lok) no stretch and won't absorb water don't have to get specific camping type lots of sailing shops sell it by the mtr, I have also bought some from ali express and has not failed me

sea to summit 1.8mm is what i use mainly as well as exped dyneema 2mm, both reflective. size depends on season, summer or winter etc.....

Here's a pic of the ITW line locks I use.

In the past I've used Glo line, but lately I've just been using 2mm IronTwine.
Much cheaper and stronger.
I've been using it for all my diy 5-string projects, guy lines, and kill kit cordage.
Only downside... not reflective. Oh well.
