Looking for an Anchorage Local

I would never condone wanted waste. Or the breaking of any laws. Do I agree that he should be able to buy them back, IDK but apparently it is legal.
As I can't change the rules that allow him to participate in the auction (which he's trying to save a few bucks by having a local do it for him) I'm very ok with letting the market make him pay an extremely inflated price if he really wants it bad enough

I would love to know what he will end up paying for that rack, I would like to known what the whole mess cost him.

probably wont hear anything about it. OP been silent since original post. wonder if they let him keep the meat, or if everything was confiscated. Did he bring back the rack to camp and the troopers flew over and saw a rack and no meat around?

A friend of mine tried to do something similar at that same auction.......

Was out berry picking with his wife, had to DLP a unit of a grizz, and reported it to the Troopers. Largest bear in that area in a long time, and the season opened up the next day. Trooper himself said "damn, I would have probably just kept my mouth shut on such a bear, amazing bear, sorry."

Bear had some distinguishing features that he knew which one it was at the auction. Said price went WAY higher than he wanted to spend....... and he kicks himself all the time for not spending it, now.
