Does anyone know of a ranch in California that offers semi guided hunts for pigs that doesn’t cost as much. Mainly just looking for access to land with pigs, willing to pay for it but can’t justify $1500 per pig. A message on here works to if you don’t want it getting out.

Id be interested in the same type of info. Would prefer areas within 3 or 4 hours of the bay area, but would drive further south if needed.

Semi guided hunts really aren’t a thing out there to my knowledge. You either know a landowner and get permission or you pay a guide to drive you around in a truck or jeep.
Hogs have become a very profitable business out there and people are willing to pay out the ass to shoot them. Free or cheap hogs are not very common.
Shoot me a PM if you want and I’ll share some information with you on FHL.

Here is Nor Cal (Shasta County) we have a few guides. I'm not sure how guided they are but I can get a name. They run about $1000 IIRC. Sometimes there's a trophy fee if you kill a big boar with tusks of a certain size. Not sure what the criteria is.

It's generally rolling oak hills and canyons. We have a lot of pigs here. I can go for an evening drive and generally see them from the road in certain areas.

Two of us paid for a semi guided hunt two years in a row on a ranch. We covered a lot of ground and never saw a pig. I get it, there’s no guarantees. We saw more fresh lion sign than fresh pig sign. after talking to the outfitter after the second hunt (never saw him in person, he had someone else shuttle us to and from the ranch) I was done with the semi guided thing. I think success on that ranch is pretty low and he seemed just fine with that.
