looking for a camcorder to self film

hey everyone, hoping yall can spread some wisdom on me, im looking for a camcorder, I was looking at the Sony fdr ax700 just wanting to make see if there is a better option or if this would work? if anyone has some experience with them?

I have a Panasonic 870 and love it. Shoots in 4K, incredible zoom, and overall very easy to use.

Thanks. For the input. There is a Sony fdr 700 for sale Down the road at a what I would say was a purty good price! I’ve been holding out but think I’ll pull the trigger On it.

The AX700 is a good camera for self filming. Check out Self Filmed Hunters on Facebook. There are 3,000 members that share info.

Would add that some Go Pros in the mix, especially the newer ones like the hero 8 are amazing. And very versatile. Also would recommend a Litra led light array. Those fit in the go pro mounts as well.

I'd also recommend a GoPro. So easy to use in a variety of different conditions..
