This bull was 42 yds which is my longest. The goat in my avitar was 36 yds bedded and I would say it was a more difficult shot.

Put my 60 yard pin on a bull elk that was 40 yards away. Missed clean and the bull ran off. I was able to call the bull back in for a second shot. The bull stood in almost the same spot, I pulled back and chose my 40 yard pin this time. At the shot, the bull jumped the string and ran up the mountain. The lesson I learned from that experience was ...... That I needed a faster compound bow so that the pins would be closer together! Lol

My excitement at that moment that resulted in choosing the wrong pin was super frustrating but, it makes me laugh now.
My hats off to you! Thank you for sharing, it is really inspiring! You are clearly more capable with traditional gear than I am with the latest and greatest!

I’ve had a few small game shots past 40 but big game these are my two farthest.

Longest trad was a snowshoe hare at about 20 yards. Deer its about 12-15 yards. I hunt with a compound now because I cant practice enough to be as proficient as I want with trad gear, but even there I wont shoot past 25 yards anymore for eastern-style whitetail hunting. Used to shoot longer and had one too many jump the string, even with a pretty fast compound. If I archery hunted in the west much and had the opportunity to take longer shots maybe the string noise wouldn't be as much of a factor?

About 17 yards on an aoudad ewe. I really try my best to not shoot past 15. I try to set myself up for a 12-15 yard shot if at all possible.

Coyote at 42 yards, that was many years ago. He was eating corn on a Sendero in South Texas that I had spread out to try to get a hog or a Javelina. I said to myself , awe what the heck go for it. Who would have thought they would eat shell corn.

33 yards - whitetail buck when I was 16. I'm nearly 40 years older and a much better shot today. And today, I would never take a shot that far.
