Longer tube for Platypus hoser 2L

I've noticed that the tube on my Platypus bladder is *just* a bit shorter than I like, and I'm getting some trapezius pain on the side opposite to where I've fed the hose. Or maybe I need a 90* bite valve? Anyway, does anyone have a recommendation for a longer tube (and/or kit with the 90* bite valve)? I believe the normal tube that comes with the Platy hoser is 40". Thanks!

Lowes home store has tubing and fittings to either replace the tube all together or just add a few inches. I'm 6'10" so the hose is never long enough for me. In my store the tubing is sold by the foot or in a 5 or 10 foot roll in the plumbing isle, same stuff thats used for fridge water lines.

Thanks guys.

I did the Google search and while I came up with some options, the reviews were mixed as to whether the tubes fit, whether they taste like crap, etc.

I may try the Lowe's route to *extend* outside of the pack, as I'm not keen on monkeying around with the connection deep inside the pack (I don't trust that my new connection will be as good as the OEM).

In digging around, I've (of course) started to question my entire bladder setup - is the Platy Hoser the right choice? The various articles and reviews are somewhat inconsistent, but I decided that on this item I don't want to save weight and am willing to spend more to have piece of mind that it will last inside my pack - if the hose is long enough. I liked the idea of the Source, but the hose is apparently less than 40". I like the Mil Spec Crux 3L, but the width (9") seems to be a bit too wide for my MR Metcalf (~7" - although it is elastic), and I don't know how long the hose is...... And it doesn't seem to have a 90* bite valve option
