I’ve got some coming this week. Very responsive seller and easy to work with.
And from the others have said, it looks like function is going to be very good.

I’ll report back after I get them and see how they do in my rifle.

What kind of 77/80 velocities are you guys seeing now that you can load them longer and increase the powder charge a bit?

I haven’t been able to work up a new load but with dummy rounds the mags are feeding great with a longer OAL. Perfect fit with 75gr ELD.

Tagged as I am waiting for my tikka barrel back from the smith for threading.

I believe I was around 2750 from a 20” barrel.
.020 off the lands with 25 grains of Varget and 77 TMK.
I’m holding to try 75 ELDM soon. Probably some Leverevolution as well.

Was that a pretty hot load from what you could tell?

I doubt you get much of a change in pressure by loading a little longer.

Saw this graph a while back that bucked what I thought I knew about coal and impacts on pressure:

I'd guess it’s not that simple though and throat, bullet, powder, cartridge, all could contribute to variance on that curve.

Does velocity correlate with pressure with varying seating depths? Maybe a better way to ask that question, in the scenario above. does the velocity plot along with psi or do something differently?

I know that a load 10k off lands will drop velocity by 30-40fps or so when you go back to 70k off lands. Which has to be dropping chamber pressure. Experienced this many times in load development.

I’m getting 2750 with 24.5 gr of Varget in Starline brass with the 80 ELDM. A bit crunchy, but roughly the same zero as the 77 TMK. I also use 23.7 grains of Ramshot TAC with the same 80 ELDM and it shoots a shade faster, haven’t chrono’d it, but it’s close.

Thanks for the info. What length to of barrel?
