Long Range Optic Suggestion

I just put money down on a new Seekins PH2 in 7 PRC. I plan on this gun being my new long range gun. I started my search looking for a lightweight low recoiling gun and ended up here. . . so. . . I need a scope. I'm open to suggestions. Seems like the good ones run over $2k. I'd prefer for it to be about $1,500 but I'm prepared to spend the $2k+. What would you all suggest? I want to be able to shoot up to 1,000 yards. I'm not sure I'm totally into a lot of hash marks in the reticle or FFP but maybe it's time I changed. Mostly I want something that holds zero and dials reliably. I also want a zero stop and lock. Weight isn't a concern as I wouldn't mind if the rifle weighed a bit more. Anything else I need to consider? Be gentle. I really only have a loose idea of what I want. Thanks for the help.

That's easy.

Mostly I want something that holds zero and dials reliably.

That leaves a few.

I also want a zero stop and lock.

Locking turrets eliminate most scopes and are needless.

Weight isn't a concern as I wouldn't mind if the rifle weighed a bit more. Anything else I need to consider?

What are you hunting, i.e. how big is the vital area up to 1,000 yards?

I've decided on the NXS 2.5-10x32 and the Credo 2.5-15x42 but my targets are on the larger side and I prefer more compact scopes. I would have kept my Tenmile 3-18x44 if I needed, and were willing to have, more scope.

Yes. If it’s a dedicated long range rifle that routinely gets shot past 1000, you might want to have a little more magnification, but 16 is more than enough for a hunting rig that occasionally gets shot past 1000 IMO. If you can’t shoot at 1000 with 16x, you’re probably not going to hit it with 25x either.

I have the Bushnell LRHS on my PH2 in 28 nosler. Shoot steel to 1000 with it on occasion. Like it a lot.
