Long Leg Bipod comparison

I'm thinking of this, as well. Looking to optimize light weight, slim form factor, true seated height, and durability. Looking at the R3D legs for the Ckye-Pod, and wondering how that would compare to the others mentioned in this thread, in the quantities of interest that I mentioned above.

I could give you some insight on that but not until mid-September. My son is getting those for hunting with his Ckye-Pod.

I've had all the previous bipods mentioned except Tricer, of course. The Ckye-Pod with R3D legs is definitely my favorite and the most versatile. It's not super light (22oz) but for the versatility it offers, i don't think there's a lighter option. It's super fast to deploy and I prefer it over the Hatch legs even though they're twist lock. It's very slim and tight to the rifle which i appreciate as well. Really the only downside is the price. It's outrageous, but what are ya gonna do! If you're looking to stay under the $600 mark and want the sitting height, it's probably Hatch.

I also heard a rumor that PRSTF was coming out with a Gen 2 Dauntless sometime in the future that will be lighter, slimmer, and more budget friendly and VERY similar to a Ckye pod with carbon legs. ;)

I’ve had all 3 bipods and I prefer the hatch outwest, I have the 36” version. It’s tall enough to kneel and shoot off of and it’s pretty sturdy. Quick deploy, quick to shove the legs back in. It’s heavier than the others but worth the extra weight I think!

I have a ckye pod with a 3 section R3D legs, I hunted all bear season with it this spring.it’ll be coming with me this fall as well. It’s by far the most versatile option imo.
Mine started as a lightweight single pull, I got the LRT fat trimmer kit to eliminate the pan feature, an area 419 arca lever clamp and the 3 section r3d legs. It totals out at 17.6 ounces on my scale. Admittedly, it’s ridiculously expensive but for the weight I don’t know of anything that has as much versatility

I’m also leaning towards the hatch outwest, is it worth it to get the one with the ADM head?
Yes the ADM is worth it.

My buddy got the universal Hatch picatinny adapter. It’s kind of goofy and it does not fit all rails equally. He saw my ADM and after 2 minutes of playing with it he was on the phone buying the parts to convert his.

I just sat down with my Tricer RP and my Aziak Backcountry Tripod with Wiser Ridge Warden. I know the tripod is going with me in the mountains hunting…I now feel almost crazy if I want to take the bipod too. The tripod is far more stable and the center column adjustment actually makes elevation changes easier than any bipod out there.

I'd get it without any the factory head, just the arms17 interface, use the rrs btc pro clamp. It's arca/Pic compatible knob tension, and lighter then everything else. Just me.....

This is my setup, started as a lightweight dbl pull, installed fat trimmer with rrs clamp, then R3D carbon legs. Right at 18oz
