I recently moved and will be hunting either public land next year or hopefully will find another lease. I'm planning on getting a Lone Wolf stand as a mobile hang and hunt setup, and whenever possible I like to sit for a long time. I'm curious what people think about the 0.75 vs the 1.0.

I'm 6'1 190lbs and also am also interested in saddle hunting. I've never tried it, but recently bought a Cruzr saddle and cheap platform. My question is, for something that is mobile and could possibly be used for all-day sits(and maybe even some hybrid hunting), what is the better option here? My initial reaction is that the 1.0 is only about a half pound heavier than the 0.75 and offers significantly more platform space, so it's kind of a no brainer to go to the 1.0.

For those of you with either the 0.75 or 1.0, what do you recommend, and do you wish you would've gone with a different size?

I've had a .5 for about 4 years and love it, but id buy a 1.0 if I had to do it again. I say this only for when it is sub 30s and I need boot covers to keep my feet warm. 1.0 has a wider platform than the .5 and .75. Other than that the .5 is a great stand. I am 5-9, 170ish with size 12 feet for reference.

If you’re going to pair with a saddle i highly recommend you go with a .5. I have been doing all day sits with one on public for about 5-6 years now. Its light, compact, and all the space i need if paired with a saddle. I stand, sit, and lean into the saddle to vary my position/comfort as needed. IMO its the best setup ive used in 38 years of hunting.

I personally couldn’t justify the increased weight of a .75/1.0 just for the slightly increased foot space because i’ve never felt like the .5 was too small.
