Looking something a little less cumbersome than my pack to carry when doing deer drives that handle a boned out whitetail.

Looked at the LL Bean upland vest and the Scheels vest.

Any others I should look at?

I've carried alot of weight in my Final Rise Summit upland vest.

They are designed to carry a dog out of the field, so I bet with some configuring you could put some meat in there.

I second the Final Rise vest. The shoulder straps are thin and shouldering is natural. Last fall I packed out two turkeys, dog stuff and my stuff, almost a mile and was surprised how it carried the weight.

That said, I’ve killed most of my upland birds and some big game at close range, wearing a regular frame pack and never thought it’s a hindrance. The shouldering mount is different, but works if you are aware of it.
