Little Belts Elk/Deer

Counting down the days till my son and I head for the Little Belts. Been a decade and a half since I've been to MT and can't wait to get back at it. Aside from a thousand hunters being there, any warnings/tips/pointers/suggestions? Certainly not looking for any honey holes, just generalities. And any elk/deer pics from there would be appreciated. My 15 yr old is pretty pumped!

Can't help much but heading that way my self. 2nd tip to the little belts 4th time total in Montana, expect lots of people. I did not see any elk last time but had fresh sign most days but I'm still learning still considered it a fantastic hunt.

How common are Griz in the area?

I've only been in there once and that was in '21 I didn't see any sign. I did talk with a local Hutterite that said one was seen in the area.

Was there for archery season late September. Found lots of fresh sign but no elk. As expected, lots of people. A decent amount of bear sign, but only one scat pile we deduced was likely from a grizzly. We found most of the sign in areas that had multiple small benches on a ridge between feeding areas and water sources, and all dark timber. From tracks and other sign, it seemed like mostly lone bulls or groups of 2-3 cows. Not sure if that helps, but that was our observations.
