Anyone ever compiled a list of meals that one can cook with their jet boil? I know the obvious like:

Mountain house
Instant mashpotatos
Couple broth cubes
Ramen noodles
Cup o noodles
Oatmeal

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Do you mean food that you can dump hot water into? Or are you including food you could boil for many minutes on the Jetboil? If you have the fuel to spare, you can cook just about anything in a jetboil.

Mainly for foods that you can just dump water into.

For just adding boiling water meals I use Thai House thin rice noodles and what ever else I dried out for the meal.

I heat up Dinty Moore cans of stew when im deer hunting and camping. I don't pack these into the back country tho.

This year I dehydrated my own. Instant potatoes, green beans, peas, carrots, and ham to last till we get fresh meat. Vaccume sealed. Have tried all the above at home and they rehydrate in about 10min.

Generally any left over meal from home is dehydrated and used afield.
About all I do is give the left overs a course chop to reduce size of chunks and then dry it.
The smaller chunk size allows to it rehydrate faster.
Chili Mac, stew, taco & tortilla soup, split pea and ham, chicken & dumplings, penne lasagna casserole, vindaloo & rice, Sweet & Sour dinners w/ rice.
Hell, the list goes on and on.

Knorr 5min Pasta meats w/ foil pack chicken are super easy as well.
Lipton soup pkgs are also handy.
Tons of Quinoa meals out there as well.

I'm even happy w/ a pkg of Idahoan instant taters and bacon bits,
toss in some cheese & foil pack chicken and even better!

Haven't done much w/ polenta, but will have to change that.

When adding water to the knorr side dishes. How much water do you guys add? I tried my first one the other day and put way too much water! Need to find out how much water to add before my hunt in a couple weeks :D

I cut it down to 1 1/2 cup water. I prefer to let it stand for quite a while. The longer it sits, the better it gets.

I've got the pot and cook meat, bacon, eggs, rice, whatever. Just need 1/2 a clue about how to manage heat.
