Liner socks only

Anybody tried wearing liner socks only? My feet run hot and am considering this, but curious about the lack of cushion.

Thought I might ask before I see how many blisters I can get.

Where's your sweat going to go.........your boot lining? The purpose of my liner socks is to wick the sweat away from my feet, and that has to go somewhere, and somewhere is my merino wool boot socks.

My liner socks are super thin and I would be worried that I would be a mile in and have a hole in my sock. When they are doing their job they are absorbing all the friction between my foot, my wool sock and my boot. If i were to only run one sock I would run something with more durability.
