Been shooting my CST ZT for almost a year now. Great bow that shoots very well for me. It has the 60 to 70 lbs limbs and I have ended up shooting it almost exclusively at the lower end of the limb range. At 60 lbs I can shoot it all day long and still get nearly 300 fps with a 400 gr arrow.

I've always read that bows perform best when limbs at loaded at the upper end of their range. Is this true? And if so, is it worth the time and money to switch mine out for a 50-60 lbs set?

No. You might see slight changes in geometry as limbs are backed off, but that doesn't neccessarily mean a decrease in performance. If it tunes, shoots well, and you are comfortable with it I would just leave it as is.

If you shoot a lot, maybe just look at replacing the strings.

On that particular bow its not worth it. On some bow when you start back them off the brace height will increase significantly thus affected the bows performance. Not really the case with the CST. So shoot it where its comfortable.

I'll echo everyone else. Unless you're just wanting to tinker for the fun of it, it's not worth it. Especially on that bow.

Thanks everyone. The bow shoots so well, I'd hate to screw it up chasing some hypothetical improvement.
