I am looking for a lightweight wind resistant stretch fabric for a baselayer. I found the polartec wind pro fleece but it is saying it is mid-heavy weight. Any suggestions? Really like the idea of having some stretch for a baselayer layer. Thanks

I wouldn't worry about wind resistance for a base layer. Base layers help manage moisture and add extra insulation. Your mid layer to some extent and really your exterior layers are where you want wind resistance. In order for a base layer to move moisture away from your skin, it needs to breath well.

Ive been making base layers from Polartec power dry and have been a big fan of its performance.

Sort of niche, but it seems like you're asking for cycle/run clothing as a baselayer. If you're carrying a rifle around in a spandex onesie, people will leave you alone, at least.

It’s not a base layer, but I’ve been really liking my peloton 240 for similar purposes. It’s really lightweight and quietly blocks wind pretty good. I wear it in a wide range of temps over my base layer and as a mid if it’s really cold.
