I need a lightweight wind jacket that can handle a stray rain storm.
I've got a Kuiu Axis and it's amazing for late season. But it's like 24oz. Kuius lighter jacket is only saving me 5oz.
Not paying $350 for Sitkas jetstream LT.
black ovis is out of stock.

Looking at Outdoor Vitals. They've the Nebo that seems to fit the bill. Ultra lightweight.
Anyone have any info on this?

I really like ditching the rain jacket when there's not a huge chance of rain. But in Montana there's 100% chance of wind.

Also in the market for this. I’ve been running the Sitka mountain evo and it handles wind and rain great. Just wish the back wasn’t completely exposed. I wish kuius new alpine jacket was lined on the inside and I think it would be a winner.

Exactly why I sold mine to my buddy. Like I get having a pack on. But need the wind protection even more when you're glassing.

I looked at a First Lite suppressor jacket today scheels. Might be what I'm after. The chest vents look slick.

I’m taking off on a high country backpack hunt here in a couple days. and I left my Sitka mtn evo on the fathers in laws boat so I will actually be running my x1 in its place for my wind layer. So I’ll be able to give some more feedback to how that does. I typically ran that evo as a durable outer shell. Which I feel like if I do that with the x1 it won’t breathe that good and it’s a bit more fragile. Guess we will find out!

Stone glacier x1 or Evo.

I’m a huge Evo fan, these two are pretty much interchangeable. EVo is more breathable. X1 is almost 1/2 the weight and more waterproof but less durable

I picked up the x1 as truck jacket and after wearing it around I about decide to use it instead of my Evo due to rain forecast next week… it’s a hard decision, Evo just breathes so well
