Planning a caribou trip and looking at light weight waders for stream crossings. Wiggy’s Waders get mentioned a lot, has anyone tried the Hodgman Gamewade TW packable hip waders? Is there any difference in the 2 besides price?
I’ve never seen those but I have seen some caddis breathable waders that fit into a small mesh bag. Also the lower end simms might be pretty light. You might even check out stuff from aquaz, I believe they make orvis stuff for them or at least used to.
I have used plastic bags with crocs before. But if the current is running hard that can be a problem. Id like to see a video or better review of the Wiggy’s as well.
i have used the Hodgemans for years. they work just fine for crossing streams or a shallow river. i'm planning on just using them for my AK caribou hunt.
