I know Badlands hasn't made these in awhile- http://www.blackovis.com/badlands-medical-kit-bag but does anyone know of a company that makes something similar? I'm looking for a small, cylindrical shaped bag that has compartments to separate and organize medical supplies. Currently I use an ultralight stuff sack but get annoyed with having to empty out all of the contents just to get ibuprofen or moleskin. Any ideas are appreciated, thanks in advance

I have never really liked relying on the pack to do the dividing. I just use an open bag and segregate everything with small crafting ziplock bags. Works pretty well and it is easy to divide the kit up in case you want to take a different assortment based on the trip you are on.

I've got a fairly decent but compact kit that doesn't change from elk hunting to ski mountaineering to whitewater kayaking and would like to avoid taking up unnecessary space with a few ziplock bags. Dotman pm sent

I gather necessary items and vacuum seal them. Waterproof and saves space. Fits neatly in backpack pockets.

After taking a WFR class my first aid kit shifted to more of an active piece of equipment instead of some haphazardly put together kit of duct tape and a leatherman stuffed into the bottom of a backpack never to be opened until shit hits the fan. It's geared for first response to a patient whether that's myself on a solo trip, a friend or complete stranger- a broken leg is a broken leg regardless of activity. Having to constantly break into a vacuum sealed bag would ultimately defeat what I am trying to accomplish- a lightweight bag that has pockets to keep things organized inside the kit without stuff rolling around or falling out. If I am trying to stop the bleeding on a deep laceration, i don't want to be sifting through pills and CPR masks to get to more 4x4s. You might be thinking my kit is heavy but at a meager 10 oz it is still capable to treat fractures, cuts, allergic reactions and even cardiac arrest until a safe evac or successful rescue. Thanks for the suggestion though, I've do have a cryovac I could work with
