Lightweight Electric Fence Tester

Like said above, use a blade of grass, you can feel a pulse as you get closer. Start 7-8" away and work it closer, depending on the voltage, soil moisture, and footwear you will start to feel it as you push the blade closer and closer.

It won't work with rubber boots, probably won't work too well with a heavy hunting boot with full rand either, unless they are wet.

I thought rayporter posted a Zarebra brand one. Now it looks like the same model numbers but different company. I guess rebranding one way or another.

your ground spike is very important. that can not be over emphasized.

i have had to pee on the ground spike in sandy soil to get a good ground. sand is poor at holding the moisture necessary to obtain a good ground.

once i forgot the ground spike, so i buried a 3 foot piece of fence wire for the ground. ya got to adapt.
