Who keeps a hunting notepad on their hunts?

Do you use a physical notebook or just use your smartphone?

I like to keep my notes from my podcasts in the same notepad as my hunting notes, just in case the weather turns or need some evening reading.

But I just weighed that notepad and it's like 8 oz.

For those of you that have been at this for awhile: What works best?

Last year I started taking notes on my phone. I have a Samsung Note 3 so the built in stylus was helpful. It worked well and I can export the files to a word document easily when I get home. I often debate with myself on whether or not to take the phone so I'm interested in some other responses with alternatives as well.

I started using the rite in the rain 146 notepad this year and am very happy with it. I tend to have small hand writing so a small pad works for me and my sketches. It is the same pad I use when I am doing my load developments, sighting in, or just plinking with my rifle. I keep a pad for every rifle I use. My dad taught me to always carry a pen and paper while out hunting, in my survival kit, so I just started using it since I had it.

I've been keeping notes on my iPhone 6 for the last two seasons. I can add photos and email and text them to other folks easier.
