Looking for a reliable lightweight, low light scope for deer hunting.

Scopes going on a 5.5# CVA Scout in 6.5 CM. This rifles mainly going to be a close range 0-200 yard rifle.

Low light usability and reliability in holding zero are probably the biggest things.

What days you?

Another vote on Swaro but I went with a 3-9x36 on a Model 7. It’s a lot of scope packed in 12 ounces. Mine is the duplex reticle, the next will have the 4A

Depends on budget.

On the low budget side, I think the Leupold 2.5-8x36 is a great buy, especially the previous VX-3i in new-old stock or pre-owned.

Stepping up in dollars…
Eurooptic has good prices on the trijicon accupoint.

Swaro Z3 is very bright.

My favorite whitetail scope is my Zeiss Diavari 3-12x56. It’s been on several rifles and has never failed to hold zero and is still as clear as new.

Hard to go wrong with a Zeiss, Swaro, or Schmidt & Bender.

Thanks for the replies folks.

I’ve decided to (backorder) a SWFA 3-9x42 SS HD.
After reading through Form’s tests, this seemed to be the “best” option within my budget.

I would’ve preferred a NF SHV or S&B Klassic, but unfortunately my budget this year has been reduced due to taxes & inflation.
