Lightweight bipod options

This was my thought process behind getting both the mtn bipod and aziak frontcountry tripod. But with a scrawny 9 year old hunting this year I thought the adjustability of the r3d legs and a sturdier tripod may come in handy.

What's the thickest leg diameter on the front country? 28mm? It's looks like what a leofoto 283L would be if they made one.

The mountain is so light I’m having to re consider how I’m building my rifles when it comes to balance. It’s super impressive if light weight is a priority. I’m somewhat impressed so far but I reallly won’t know till I get a season on it if it’s the one or not.

If your buying the mountain I’d immediately order new feet.

I got the anarchy outdoor felt feet and really like them too. Not too sticky.

The factory feet are terrible. But I do despise spiked feet.

No matter which you choose I feel there are trade offs. Lightweight and leave it on your rifle means its probably short. If its tall enough to use while sitting it better be quick to get on and off. If it does both its probably made of unobtainium and nobody can afford it.

Don't ever want spiked feet! I swapped out all the feet I can from metal spiked to rubber knobs. Anything that holds a rifle rigid that's not perfectly balanced and perfectly aligned to the target and the weapon, has the ability to influence the trajectory in a detrimental way. That's why Form is anti bipod.

If the Gunwerks was like 3" overall higher, it'd be adequately light, and be able for most to shoot seated to slight upward angles, or extreme angles prone.
