Entirely too much… But it’s 100% better than spending it on crack. So the big question is…. How much $$ do you have tied up in this?

I was just messing around, it is wild to think what the desire to compete can do to my willingness to throw around money I don’t have.Hey - I’m not throwing shade, I can talk myself into spending money to save money 365 days a year![]()
Is yours the lightweight Ckye pod or regular?I’m at 21oz with the r3d legs, fat trimmer, pod knobs, rrs sc-arc clamp. What’s different about your setups @Juan_ID @dirtytough
Ya that sounds like the only possible difference @slowelk.Is yours the lightweight Ckye pod or regular?
Mine is built with a lightweight Ckye pod.
According to my scale the bare lightweight head is 1.5oz lighter than the bare head that came on my triple pull which I’d guess is the same head that comes on the standard double pull. What cant tension knob do you have on yours?@Juan_ID @dirtytough it started life as a regular double pull. Not sure how lightweight and regular are different once fat trimmed.
The flush one from the fat trimmer.According to my scale the bare lightweight head is 1.5oz lighter than the bare head that came on my triple pull which I’d guess is the same head that comes on the standard double pull. What cant tension knob do you have on yours?
Hatch is the OG extended length bipod. They work well too, far lighter than a triple pull. I don't see 19oz as being heavy for what these systems are. These items work well and give extra options in the field, but truthfully would a guy be better off packing a basic light weight single leg bipod, in addition a lightish Tripod to shoot from? Tripod(depending on height) can be used from any height position. Idk if everyone is packing a Tripod on hunts these days or not. I'm all for options, but at some point a guys packing more than is needed I think. No mention of hatch? Seem pretty solid for the gen two but not light at 19 oz
The triple pull is popular for nrl, so that you can use it high with a tripod for rear support. Iv got access to one, I don’t use it much. I don’t think I’d hunt with it for the most part, it’s stupid heavy on the end of my hunting guns and I can’t justify spending another grand to make it lighter. The tripod and tall bipod makes for an elevated prone position in practice, no wobble and the ability to really control recoil. I can get as stable on a tripod but cannot manage recoil like I can with the tripod in the rear . I just can’t get over walking around with the triple pull hanging off my rifle.Hatch is the OG extended length bipod. They work well too, far lighter than a triple pull. Totally understand and triple pull application with Tripod rear for comp use.The triple pull is popular for nrl, so that you can use it high with a tripod for rear support. The mountain bipod is pretty awesome. I’ll be carrying it and a tripod this year.
This was my thought process behind getting both the mtn bipod and aziak frontcountry tripod. But with a scrawny 9 year old hunting this year I thought the adjustability of the r3d legs and a sturdier tripod may come in handy.Mtn bipod with a 3# is Tripod that can double for shooting and glassing sounds like the best combo for performance/weight.
The mountain is so light I’m having to re consider how I’m building my rifles when it comes to balance. It’s super impressive if light weight is a priority. I’m somewhat impressed so far but I reallly won’t know till I get a season on it if it’s the one or not.Well I’ve already talked myself out of the backcountry due to pan.
So now I’m between the mdt mountain or the gunwerks elevate.
As of now I think I lean more towards the gunwerks for its added height.
