Looking for opinions on best lightweight custom actions, prefer to stay in a 700 footprint. Thanks in advance

Most of the custom actions are all fantastic.

What features do you want and how fantastic can your budget stand?

Personally I would look at the lightweight Solus and Coup de Grace for 70ish bolt throw and Savage small shank prefits.

The AnTi has always impressed me, but I wouldn’t choose it based on features.

Kelbly Nanook is my personal favorite. I have a bat vampire as well but prefer the feel of the kelbly and the mechanical ejector.
Really like the Vampire too!! Kinda feel like it’s kinda a rem 700 footprint due to the flat bottom. requires different inletting.

MacBros Element (mack brothers).

Short action is 19.6oz I think.

Under $1000, even better with a military discount.

They are located like next door to LRI, so they can walk the action over instead of shipping if you want LRI to do the barrel work.

Went down this rabbit hole a while ago myself. Defiance antix is nice and light, but pricey. The defiance classic is also pretty light and more affordable. The Terminus apollo lite ti I checked out was nice, but not what I'd call lightweight at 26 oz. Pierce and Pure precision both make some light actions, haven't had the chance to try one yet. A buddy of mine recently had a rifle built on a pierce and he speaks very highly of it. I've got a falkor lw7 on order, they're 19.6 oz in a short action (plus bases). I had the opportunity to handle a long action falkor and was impressed enough to give one a try (although I don't think I'll have it built up in time for sheep season).

I just bought a Bat Vesper SA from UM and saved $492 with the sale they’re running. Preferred Barrels has the Kelby Nanook on sale for $1150 with the 90° bolt and you can buy the 75° bolt for it. The Vesper comes with a 75 already. Both weigh 24-25 oz

A friend was just looking at the Solas lightweight until he seen it was over 30oz. He went zermatt TL3 for the same weight.

Not a bad choice. The solus isn’t a light action to begin with. It’s the other features for why I mention it.

I have had a Mesa Precision Crux Ti for a long time now. Pure precision now, and it’s 22oz and has been very reliable.

Just did a build off a 75 degree Nanook. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but have spent a bunch of time cycling it. I am liking it more and more
Following up, had a chance to shoot it and it hammers. Very pleased with the action.

+1 for Pierce Engineering Skele-ti. I have it in short-action. It has an integral recoil lug. Their website is horrendously out-of-date. The long-action is cited at 17.5 oz. I want to say that when I weighed the short action, it was 15.9 oz. Mine is full DLC coated. Does what you expect a custom action to do. Can get shouldered prefits from McGowan / PBB, or Remage-style barrel nut; it is compatible.

I've only had it 10 months or so, mind you. Very happy so far.

I'd go zermatt Ti3. Mechanical ejector, CRF, and swappable bolt head.

What’s the weight on these? Seems pricey but I’m not in the market at the moment.

Edit- just found it, 22.2oz
