Lighter Weight Archery Boot?

Last year I bought Zamberlan Lynx Mid and have put on 220+ Miles this past year. They are great for ankle support and heavy pack out jobs.

But for archery season Aug-Sept, they can often be a little over kill for day or two day trips.

I would still like some ankle support, so I’m thinking trail runners are a no go.

Any boots you guy would recommend I look into?

I have the lynx, cougar and leopard, and hoenstly except for the hight they are the same boot.

Picked up a couple pairs of crispi last summer and used them early elk, the Dakota worked out well for a lighter boot the lynx. The WY not as much for me.
I know some guys have had some longevity issue with the Dakota and they made some changes, so far I have about 30 days on them and look good. That said your not saving much.
Picked up a pair of zamberlan Yeren however I dont have enough time on them to day one way or another how they will hold up. They are about half the weight of the lynx. In my experience when we give up weight we give up longevity.

The Solomon Quest 4d GTX have become my all-around go-to but if you want something even lighter definitely check out the Inov8 Roclite 320 GTX running boots. They're pretty sweet, fast and light.

I’ll be wearing Crispi Lapponia’s for archery next season. I had them last season but wanted to try out Altra Lone Peaks but they just aren’t enough shoe for me. Wish I had stuck with Lapponias.

Interesting... those are about .47lbs per foot lighter.

How do they breath during summer scouting trips? While I like my Zamberlians, the pair I have don’t breath very well during the hot months

I haven’t found them to be stifling or hot, but I’m a sock rotator. I usually change socks mid day just because it feels good, but I never pull a foot out that’s all sogged out or anything. I think nubuck leather is supposed to be pretty breathable, too. It’s the boot I wear all summer if I’m not in Chacos. Actually I wore them pheasant hunting this morning with some hella thick socks and they were great too. I put green super feets in them.

Zamberlan Yeren. Way more durable than any boot Salomon makes.

Check out the scarpa zodiacs. Good for packing and pretty light. I've also used the salomon speedcross with a light gaiter when i wanted to move really fast. We've been trying out the salomon speed assault, basically a speedcross with a low upper. Very light but wear out quickly.
