Then again my custom stock experience started with a manners bedded at a 30 degree angle left and tilted so, I may be generally more relaxed on exterior scuffing.

I have some high expectations for this stock. But a metro to full size truck delta? This thing would have to have handwarmers and give me a tender loving kiss on the cheek with words of affirmation each time I settle in for it to be that much better.

So, @Unknown Munitions , I whittled this Tikka stock down to 15.2oz. I don't think a butt pad is needed for a 223.

Can you under promise and over deliver with the rokstock lite? Maybe get it below 18oz?

No one really needs to paddle with their gun anyway....

This is Manners' version of a "Rem 700 BDL" inlet.
There is only 1 profile, and depth for a true Rem 700 BDL, and it hasn't changed in decades, and this profile sure wasn't it. They recut to an M5 because even they couldn't say what they actually cut. Then they f'd up the M5 depth so I had to bed the btm metal after all that. Add in I had to go out and buy that M5 metal.

Reading about action inlets needing some work, shims, washers, pinholes, and sandpaper marks on the gel coat doesn't give me the warm fuzzies about a rokstock.

X bolt inlet would be cool, there are approximately zero aftermarket stocks worth a shit for them.

Also, switching to non rotating qd cups would be a real cherry on top for me

Seconded! Seems like really low hanging fruit to make a stock for the brand that sells a lot, no one else supports, and that is constantly advertising on RS…even if it ain’t a tikka…lol

Anyone compiling a database of all the Rokstok pictures guys have posted on this thread? I need to figure out my cerakote scheme. My stock was in the recent list that was posted on stocks coming in from stockys.

@Unknown Munitions i don’t have a Rokstok on order but I’m patiently waiting to get my order in. Just curious if possible could you make the Artic Camo “white” carbon that Manners did couple years ago and then discontinued? Just saying cuz the resale is pretty high on them so there’s definitely a demand.
Oh by the way great job on making all the complaints right by offering a fix….top notch and not many people would do that.

Well I never did check it due to not knowing my order #. Some how I deleted my email order confirmation, not sure how I did that.
Anyway I really wanted the trinity rail that’s why I called this week but too late I guess

Also really glad it came but interestingly the red carpet card specifically has a box for call the customer. It’s checked off but there was no contact or shipping notification sent to me.
I saw this come up before in this thread. My place is safe so I wasn’t worried if this happened but can’t imagine living somewhere where if you didn’t know it was inbound.

Anyway fit and finish looks good. I want to drop it into the action but my daughter has a cow hunt currently and I don’t dare change anything right now.

I’ve been playing around and shooting different LOP options and different UM Tikka ring heights with my Rokstoks.

Let me state this again before I continue. LOP, cheek weld, and ring height have to be the most over thought and over “crucialized” thing in all of modern shooting. If you can’t grab a buddies hunting rifle and make good hits at range because the length of pull and ring height weren’t “just so” you have a lot more to worry about.

ALL of the ring height and LOP options are perfectly shootable. From standard length and high rings to an extra 2” of spacers and low rings. No combination prevents me from getting impacts and being able to run the gun proficiently.

Some basic notes…

I am somewhere between 6’1” and 6’2” last I was measured. My proportions are normal for somebody my height other than some holiday dad bod weight coming back off soon.

I tend to shoot with a bit of a more forward head position but nothing drastic.

I shoot with the gun in my shoulder pocket a bit on the “low side” and not “in my chest/clavicle” which is popular these days. I am nearly always square to the gun when shooting (I don’t shoot with aggressive right shoulder forward for right hand shooter which is common).

I don’t use either an “aggressive cheek weld” or the “float face minimal contact” which are both popular.

I have landed on 3/4” or 3 plastic spacers added to the factory 13.5” LOP leaving me at 14.25” LOP.

With this length, both low and medium height UM Tikka rings are excellent. If you are a more “head forward” shooter like me then you’ll like lows a bit more. Of the dozens of folks who have shot these now, half want medium and half want low. One guy wanted high. This is with multiple different 30mm tube scopes from SWFA, Maven, and Nightforce.

Hope this helps somebody when the orders get turned back on soon.

I have a post in here explaining how to add spacers to a “non-spacer” standard rokstok. UM wants you to send them in but this isn’t required if you’re even slightly “handy”.
