Lighted nocks

Hello everyone. So I have some questions concerning lighted nocks. I have never used them before and I am thinking about starting. A good friend of mine has told me about glory nocks. So I did some research and ordered me some. Yesterday I decided to try them out. Very easy to turn the light off so I like that but I did notice one issue. When I would draw the bow my arrow started lifting upwards. I couldn’t figure out what was causing it. Finally I did. I noticed that the glory nock forks that you attach to the string were wider than my current nocks. So I believe what is happening is as I draw my bow back the dloop is pinching the nock causing the arrow to raise up. My dloop was setup for my current nocks. My bow guide said I would just need to put on a new d loop. Will this change how my current arrows with my regular nocks shoot? I really don’t plan on having every arrow with a lighted nock but that could change. So what is everyone’s opinion here about light nocks in general and the dloop situation vs two different size nocks? Thanks

I’m not familiar with those nocks nor what your standard nock setup is. I am shooting Nockturnal G type in my Day Six arrows and saw a negligible different in point of impact.

There is only one way to find out for your setup. It’s not a big deal for hunting, just set it up with your hunting arrow and move on.

I shoot Nockturnals as well, they are only slightly heavier than standard nocks. I don't really notice any difference in flight until 40 yards and out. Depending on how much material you have, you might be able to twist back and forth on your d loop to widen it until you get clearance. A new d loop shouldn't really change anything either, it would be very minimal.

A slightly wider D-loop will correct your issue. However, with some cheap quality nocks, they may fit the string way to tight. That could make a difference in impact. i have shot some nocks over the years that actually stayed on the string after the shot. Not good.
