I’m needing a scope for my tikka t3x 7mm. What are some light weight options that won’t break the bank?

Thanks

Budget friendly, I would go SWFA 3-9 or 6x fixed.

Would probably help if you have a little more info on what features you want. Do you want to dial, magnification, longest shot range.....

I don’t really care to have a dial. 400 yards is the absolute longest I practice at.

Amen?!!! With all this long Range BS... since you said 400 yards MAXIMUM, I might make you a hell of a deal on a good one! I'm out of town tonight but, when I get back I will let you know what I have in the closet.

That would be awesome.
Thanks

I have a leupold vx3i 2.5-8x36 on a kimber and I just recently got a Swarovski z3 3-10x42, if I was looking for another lightweight scope I’d take a long look at that Swarovski z3 3-9x36.

I’m like you, I try really hard to keep shots under 400 but I always practice out to 500 just in case, I’ve got no interest in long range hunting, in the mountains I want to shoot stuff as close as I can so I can be sure to recover it and for moose, why the hell would I want to shoot one farther away than I absolutely had to??? I’d rather shoot my moose at 80yds than 800yds and have to carry it that extra ~ 1/2mile which is actually an extra mile on every load.

Very happy with my Vx 3i Leupold on my tikka. If you shop around you can get some great deals.

The better quality lightweight scope options are from Leupold and Swarovski. I am back in the store first thing tomorrow if you'd like to give a call, 516-217-1000, to discuss it. Have a great day

Another swarvo z3 3-9x36 fan here. Like you 77, I don’t shoot past 400’ish yards in hunting situations. I use one on my mountain rifle and love it. Iv never been left, wanting more scope, except at the range.

Hey guys, newly registered member here. I am also in the same situation as the OP. Just picked up a t3x SL in .308 and need a lightweight optic for it as I do a lot of hiking when I hunt. I think I’ve narrowed my options to a Swaro z3 3-9x36 or a Leupold vx-3i 2.5-8x36. What are your opinions on a used Swaro for $475 or a new Leupold for $425? What would you do? Should I be concerned about warranty on the used Swaro?

I just paid 600 for a used z3 and I though I got a pretty solid deal, 475 for a Swarovski sounds pretty good to me.

Okay, I’m going to purchase the Swaro z3 3-9x36 and use a DNZ gamereaper to mount to my t3x. I want to be able to use pop open lens covers. Will the low mounts work or do I need to go with the mediums?

I used DNZ hunt master to put a z3 on my M70 EWSS, its an awesome setup.
