I have been trying to find the best way to prepare my 2001 Tahoe which has about a 2-3 inch lift for a trail flat....I have 315/75r16 tires which means that if I blow a rear tire, I need to use roughly the same size as a spare (stock spare is out). Buying a inexpensive oversize tire seems about the only good option, but finding the right jack is not easy. Has anyone dealt with making a rig like this "trail ready" ?

Adjustable bottle Jack. I actually carry one on my rock buggy because a lot things it does better than the high lift( mounted on bumper) so much easier to change a flat. I also use the high lift base extension under it so I don't have to extend the jack so much. You probably don't need a booster but a block of wood could work as well.

I have a cheap one from harbor fright they have couple of sizes to choose from. Most of my buddies picked one up after seeing how handy they are. My 37 Goodyear mtr usually give me atlest one flat a trip so i have a pretty good routine down now

A bit more work, but if you get a rear flat and don't have far to go to fix it, just swap the reg spare in front then take the good front and put on rear
