I bought a brand new lift 29.5 about 4ish months ago. In that time I have shot it quite a bit. I noticed the bow getting easier to pull back but figured it was just me getting stronger and more used to the bow. Recently I decided to build a in home bow shop so I got a press, draw board and scale all from last chance archery. My peep has started twisting so I know I have some stretch happening in the strings. The bow has 65 pound mods with 85 percent let off, limbs are all the way in so in theory it should be pulling 65 pounds, here's where the problem is. I put the bow in my draw board, hooked up thr LCA 3.0 scale and according to the scale im losing 5 pounds somewhere. The scale shows the draw weight at 60 pounds and let off at roughly 81%. Id expect a few pounds from the string stretch, but 5 pounds just seems like alot. Is this normal to lose that much draw weight? I have new strings coming but id like to wait out the archery season to put them on.

Did you ever scale it prior when you first got it? String stretch will add lbs, cable stretch will decrease. It would be a lot to lose from just cable/string settling in!

Add two full twists to each cable and see where you are, double check cam timing and go, make sure you have the proper mods for 65lbs.
