Just picked up my first lever action (marlin 336 .35 Rem) and was wondering about upgrading the factory iron sights to the skinner express sights, any opinions? I want to keep iron sights no scope, also any leads on factory ammo would be appreciated!

The skinners are awesome and simple to use. 50/50 if you’ll need to replace the factory fronts and you pretty much need to shoot it to figure it out. They make a nice dovetail plug for the ramp sight, too

You'll definitely need to replace the front on a 336. Easiest option is to just buy the tallest, then file it down until your POI comes up to where you need it.
