Lever Action anyone?

Man, the bighorns are worth every penny.

My bear and moose gun is a 500 S&W bighorn. 10/10 good decision.
I saw they released a take down version now. I'm tempted.

I think I'd get it in 460 just because I suppress everything and I have a 46 cal suppressor. And no one makes a 50 cal suppressor without rating it for 50bmg and it being way to big.

Marlin needs to release the 336 in 360 buckhammer..

Not sure why they have not done it already. I have the round in a pistol and it would be great in a rifle, but I don’t want a Henry and Rossi isn’t doing it in a threaded stainless version as of now.

I’ve heard something to do with the pressure being too much for the standard marlin receiver, but I have no idea how true or untrue that is. Sounds like they need to make a stronger version if true because the 360 would sell extremely well.

Maybe. SAAMI is 50kpsi, where 30-30, which it's case is based on is 46kpsi. That's not a lot more, but it is more bolt thrust.

I think the 375 Win just didn’t catch on.

That’s unfortunate. I have one in the Winchester that I’m happy with.

Also have a JM Marlin guide gun .45/70 ported barrel

I DO love walnut and blue steel but I really want one of these. I’m planning on buying a lower and build an upper to my liking.

Marlin briefly offered the 336 in the 375 Win. If I’m reading correctly, that pressure is higher than the 360.
You are correct. 375 win is 52k and 360 bh is 50k. 375 is a parent case for 360. Also I think the bolt thrust of many cartridges that a Marlin was chambered in are higher than the 360 bh. 45-70 is one. In a contender max bolt thrust is trap door loads, yet 360 bh is ok.

I wonder if there are some politics at play. If so that unfortunate as I would like to see the 360 make it as a cartridge and having it in a S&W or Marlin would help.

I want a lever gun in .338 ARC...
Think bigger….

I get the feeling that Marlin (Ruger) isn’t interested in adding new or less common cartridges. The reason I say that is I’ve read somewhere that the 444 Marlin will not be brought back. That’s unfortunate because this one is excellent and in my opinion much better than the 45-70.

Never know with ruger.

Didnt they just turn out a 10mm levergun?
