Do you think a total rifle package of 7 lbs 2.7 ounces is too light for the 30-06's recoil?

That’s a very individual thing, but it’s fair to say most hunters can shoot that combination with minimal work to overcome a flinch. That’s roughly the same recoil as a 7 mag in a rifle a pound heavier and that’s a popular combination throughout the west.

I was just in your shoes and decided to put a larger vx5 on my 300wm. It's a great scope 10/10 recommend.

Btw anyone saying 3 over 5 I have a question! Have you ever used a 5 other than looking through it at the store? I have both and even my wife picks the rifle with the vx5 over the vx3 (same cal8ber rifles) every time.
