I would like to get 1 long range scope. I currently have a vortex viper HSLR 4-16x50 and have no complaints but would like to test out something with higher magnification.

I've read some people that love the VX-6 and some people that seem to have issues with it. I have no experience with higher magnification scopes and would love some help making my decision.

There is a $350 price difference between the two. I will be mainly hunting but enjoy shooting longer distances at the range when available.

I enjoy dialing to my distance based on my MOA drop chart I print off. Has anyone compared these side by side?

VX-6 $1199
Burris Veracity MOA SCR - $949 with $100 MIR - $849

Might check out Cabelas, Midway USA, etc. I think I have recently seen that VX6 on sale for like $950ish. I have a couple friends who run that scope and they love it on their hunting rifles.

Cabelas had the 3-18 for 950. Which is a great deal. But I want to try the 20+ scope.

I'm going to the VX6 4-24 route. It's lighter than that Verocity. I'm going with the B&C reticle and the 2 turn zero lock turret. To me it's almost perfect.

I was close to going that way. I decided to give the Veracity a try and picked it up for the SCR MOA reticle 5-25 from opticplanet for $850 plus the $100 MIR so that will put it around $750. Not sure if I will regret down the road but from what I've read they are both great scopes in that price range.

I'm looking forward to comparing this to my 4-16 HSLR vortex.

I have the 4-24 with the tmoa reticle. I love the scope and reticle. I have shot elk at 500 and 550 yards. I failed for one elk and used the reticle on the second because I didn't have time. I prefer the tmoa over the other reticles. I think it is much more versatile. You will like this scope.
