Leupold BX-1 McKenzie

What do you guys think of these I'm thinking about picking up a pair I have a pair of vortex diamondback 10 x 42 which I enjoy but I'm thinking about getting these because they are lighter are they any good or is it just the leupold name that interest me. Also I am not alone binocular fanatic so I don't know all the intricacies of them I am just a Hunter.

Did you end up getting the McKenzie? What are your thoughts. About to get a pair too.

I personally am not a huge fan of the Leupold BX-1 Mckenzie or the HD version (I have had both). I prefer my Bushnell Trophy Extreme 10x50 and Vortex Diamondback HD 8x42 binoculars over the Leupold BX-1 Mckenzie HD.

They are just not as clear as they could be and do not perform as well, I have to constantly change the 'diopter' adjustment on the Leupold BX-1 Mckenzie daily to get a good view of what I am looking at (it is possible that I have bad eyes, but last I checked my vision was 20/20). They may be a good set for some people, but I have not been able to justify my purchase as of yet.

I currently live in Arizona and get great lighting while glassing the desert.

Got mine on a warranty situation and not impressed. Shame they didn’t repair the old wind river I sent in.
