Leupold Bino bx3

I have the 10x42's. I had the old Cascade 10x42's, but one of the eye cups broke. I sent them in for repair, and got a set of the BX3's back. The BX3's are a lot better than my old Cascades, I'm pretty impressed. For the money, I think they may be nicer than the Vortex Vipers, but I haven't compared them side by side yet.

Thanks from my experience it seems the equivalent vortex is larger in size and by no means clearer to look through but that is of limited experience with them both.

For the money, I don't think you can beat Leupold. I have a pair of BX-2 and BX-3. I gave the BX-2's to a friend who had broken his binos, and he was very pleased. I used them for a season and did great for me too. The BX-3's are my truck/range binos and also very good. I have not owned any BX-4, but have looked through a few and been very surprised.

I now roll with 8x32 Swaro EL's when hunting, but I've often had some buyers remorse with the purchase. They are some great glass, and there is a difference in light transmission between the Leupold and Swaro.....but not sure if there is $2000 worth of difference.

Leupold has been talking about bringing the production of Gold Ring binos back to the US for some time. If they make the move I'll among the first to sell my Swaro's for some US made Leupold.
